Storyboarding & Animation

Conceptual drawings using script - storyboarding imagery and scenes

Script driven storyboard designs and storyline creation. Visualize and drive visual story and prepare animation element design with minimal character movement in order to animate stills and still provide an entertaining story.

Background Sequences and Scenery Creation

After storyboard approval, background designs generated to be graphically illustrative of character's environment through multiple scenes as well as incorporate assets that animated objects and elements could be animated atop in order to cohesively form motion to support visually the storyline was unfolding.

Animation Roles and Projects

Within this video I was responsible for animation of text elements as well as infographics used to illustrate points made through use of text visuals and assets. I worked in collaboration with another individual that edited the video elements and incorporated my animation sequences within.

Through more collaboration, my responsibilities for this video was to use a provided audio narrative recording and create a cartoon chicken (rooster), his antics, attitudes, and movements. Since audio recording was to be used within animation/video, I was required to create a unique character with individual mouth frames and through utilization of audio playback/voice syncing, make the timing of character speech reflect the voice and linguistic flow of the audio provided.

I created this animation to assist the sales department to better visually explain what our company did while they provided their sales pitch. We produced safety labels digitally vs the more common screen printing approach. I captured and incorporated photo elements as well as self conceived/created vector art; animated all elements and was the sole creator of this video.
